Parents

Hollis Montessori strongly encourages families to feel at home and to participate in the broader life of the school through educational, social, and volunteer activities.

Hollis Montessori School offers parent education programs during the school year designed to bring home and classroom closer together. It is through these programs that parents learn about what makes Montessori different. Their purpose is to clarify expectations: What can parents and school expect of each other as we collaborate in your child's development? Ultimately, the compatibility of families with our educational philosophy is important to the ongoing development and continued success of the school's community.

In addition to our educational programs, we offer many opportunities for the community to gather for social events. These include a potluck picnic at the beginning of the year, the Harvest Celebration in November, Story Night in January, Spring Gala and Silent Auction in March, and the Spring Festival in May. The last day of school is celebrated with a Family Picnic.

Volunteering is a great way to get to know other parents and the school as a whole. Working together and getting involved is what creates our sense of community.
